The story behind our £109 Employee Health Checks

The conversation went a bit like this:
Them: 'Can you provide lower cost health checks for my employees so that we can extend a health offer to all our teams, not just our exec team?'
Me: 'What did you have in mind?'
Them: 'We want a health MoT which covers the basic tests, we want employer reports so we can make sure we are doing a good job on the basics, and we want the clinics in our office so that our people can fit them into their schedule without disrupting their day.'
Me: 'Anything else?'
Them: 'We want to be sure that that nobody is left wondering what to do if a result isn't what they expected.'
Me: 'That's ok - all our health checks are overseen by a GP and they look at all the reports before they go to the employee.'
Them: 'We would like the service up and running within a fortnight. What would be a sensible low cost for this?'
Me (already working out a plan): 'We can do that, and we'll see what we can do for around £100.'
Them: 'Perfect.'
As I headed back to the team from the client meeting, my mind was already racing. Extending access to health checks to all employees is really important to us. I got together with our medical and operational teams and we built a product that covered the basics - body health, diabetes risk, blood profile and liver and kidney function. All results are overseen by a GP and the introductory price comes in at £109 per employee.
